Assessments
Florida Statutes as well as Flagler Schools policy require that certain tests be administered to specific students each year. In general, all are mandated by statutes or administrative rules passed by the Florida Legislature or the Florida Board of Education. Testing Opportunities at FPC
The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military.
The Classical Learning Test measures college readiness in verbal reasoning, grammar, writing, and quantitative reasoning. It is a college entrance exam. The CLT serves as an opportunity for ELA and Algebra I concordance and Bright Futures Scholarship eligibility.
The ACT measures college readiness in English, math, reading, and science. It is a common college entrance exam. It also serves as an opportunity for ELA and Algebra I EOC concordance and Bright Futures Scholarship eligibility.
The SAT measures college readiness in ELA and math. It is a common college entrance exam. It also serves as an opportunity for ELA and Algebra 1 EOC concordance and Bright Futures Scholarship eligibility.
The PSAT measures ELA and math proficiency. It also gives 11th graders the opportunity to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. This test also serves as an opportunity for Algebra I EOC concordance.
Students who are enrolled in these courses must take the corresponding EOC exams.
