PBIS Model SchoolPositive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) is a set of strategies based in behavioral and biomedical science that enhances student quality of life and reduces problem behaviors. National research shows that full implementation of this framework leads to improved student outcomes.

Flagler-Palm Coast High School has been recognized for our resilience in implementing a school-wide PBIS framework during the 2020–21 school year. 

By establishing this framework, we are developing student skills, making changes to the school environment, acknowledging appropriate student behavior, and using data to identify needed supports for our students.

As a result of this work, we have been recognized by the FLPBIS Project for achieving PBIS Model School status. This award demonstrates our commitment to the effective implementation of PBIS and our efforts toward achieving positive and equitable outcomes for all students.

FPC PBIS Program
Flagler-Palm Coast High School’s Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program is committed to being a continuous source of “individually focused” assistance and support to all faculty, staff, and students. We believe that by focusing on the spirit of family and purposefully empowering excellence within our school, we establish a strong sense of commitment that will be reflected in the growth and success of our students to #BeaBulldog.

Incentives
  • Daily: "Wood Nickels" currency to be used in PBIS school store, or to gain entry into sporting events
  • Weekly: "Dog Bones" gift card drawings
  • Quarterly: Celebrations for no referrals
  • Annually: Spring Dance for no referrals for tardy or skipping
