Community service is not required for graduation, but it is a requirement to be eligible for several Florida Bright Futures scholarships.

Community Service Log

Students earning community service hours through a Flagler Schools organization, or under the supervision of a Flagler Schools employee, can log their hours on the Community Service Log with a school employee's signature for verification.

Students earning community service hours outside of Flagler Schools should log their hours on the Community Service Log and attach documentation from the person or organization they are working for. This documentation should include the hours worked and the employer's contact information. Documentation on the organization's letterhead is recommended.

Work Hours Log

Students may keep track of work hours and submit them for the Bright Futures Scholarship. Community service hours and work hours cannot be combined to meet the qualifying requirement.  Students may meet the Bright Futures requirement separately using one or the other.
