Exciting Announcement from Flagler Palm Coast High School

Last night, we proudly inducted our inaugural Hall of Fame class, celebrating the remarkable achievements and contributions of our distinguished alumni and staffulty. Their dedication and hard work serve as an inspiration to our entire community.

2024 Hall of Fame Inductees:

- Mr. Calvin Grant (Class of 1977): A dedicated community leader, veteran, and mentor, Calvin has made significant contributions to Flagler County through his service in the U.S. Army, law enforcement, and as a Campus Security Advisor at FPC.

- Mr. James Hall (Class of 1982): Honoring the legacy of service and leadership, James served in the U.S. Army and rose to the rank of Lieutenant at the Flagler County Sheriff’s Department. His family accepted this honor on his behalf, celebrating his commitment to the community.

- Mr. Joe Rizzo (Class of 1994): A passionate advocate for education, Joe made a lasting impact as the executive director of the Flagler Education Foundation and a beloved local entrepreneur. His family accepted this honor posthumously, ensuring his legacy continues to inspire.

- Mrs. Chelsey Barney (Class of 2009): A trailblazer in both academics and business, Chelsey has excelled as a community leader and entrepreneur, empowering women and supporting local initiatives.

- Ms. Frances Royals: A dedicated educator who transformed the lives of countless students through innovative programs and mentorship. Although she could not attend, her legacy of service in education is deeply honored.

Join us in congratulating these outstanding individuals for their incredible contributions to our school and community! Their legacies will continue to inspire future generations of Flagler Palm Coast High School students.

In preparation for the potential impact of Hurricane Milton, Flagler Schools will be closing all schools from Wednesday, October 9 through Friday, October 11.

All activities will be canceled from Wednesday, October 9 through Thursday, October 10. A decision on all activities on Friday, October 11 is yet to be determined.

Silver and Gold Florida Seals of Biliteracy

Applications are now open for the Florida Seal of Biliteracy diploma designation.

The Florida Seal of Biliteracy recognizes and awards a graduating high school senior who has received a high level of competency in the four language domains: listening, speaking, reading, and writing, in one or more foreign languages, as well as English.

As Hurricane Helene begins to move closer to Florida’s shores, updated data from Flagler County Emergency Management has led Flagler Schools to make a change to its most recent decision regarding schools tomorrow.

Given the shift in forecast conditions as of our 8 p.m. update from Flagler County Emergency Management, we will now be closing all schools across the district for Friday, September 27.

Any extracurricular activities or athletic events taking place after school hours and into the weekend will take place as scheduled.
